On June 1, the Agriculture Department in Udupi launched a crop survey initiative for the monsoon season, enabling farmers to conduct surveys themselves. By downloading the Monsoon Farmers Crop Survey 2026-27 app from the Google Play Store, farmers with an FID number can participate in the survey. To begin, they must select Verify Aadhaar through e-KYC, enter their Aadhaar number, and generate an OTP. Once the OTP is registered, the app will download information on all lands linked to the farmer’s FID number. Next, farmers select the survey number, share, owner name, and enter the field, then record crop details, take a photo, and upload the information while standing within the boundary line of the survey numbers. Farmers without an FID number can obtain one by contacting the nearest agriculture or horticulture department offices. The collected data will be used for various purposes, including natural disaster relief distribution, support price scheme beneficiary identification, and crop insurance scheme implementation. The Joint Director of Agriculture’s office encourages farmers to take advantage of this opportunity to accurately record crop details for their land survey numbers using the mobile app, making the monsoon 2026-27 crop survey a success.
