On July 2, in Udupi district, the Special Voter List Revision process was underway with Booth Level Officers distributing enumeration forms to voters. District Election Officer Swarup T.K. reported that 1,07,614 forms had been distributed out of 10,63,876 printed, marking a 10.12 percent progress. The district aims to complete the door-to-door enumeration and digitization by July 29. Each Booth Level Officer has distributed an average of 97 forms so far. The Collectorate stated that 8703 census forms have been digitized, achieving 0.82 percent, and 8,167 forms were officially verified by booth level officials. Additionally, 4,354 forms were mapped to ‘self’ and 3,789 to ‘descendant’. Voters also submitted 535 census forms directly online. To ensure the accuracy of the voter list, the district administration has appealed for public cooperation. The CASUE Department has provided an OOD facility through the ‘Kartavya’ mobile application for Booth Level Officers, allowing them to register attendance without physically visiting their offices. District Collector Swaroop T encouraged officers to utilize this facility as directed by the Chief Electoral Officer.
