On June 18, Udupi District Collector T.K. Anil Kumar announced that the digitization process for the special brief revision of voter lists, also known as SIR-2026, has reached 70.82% completion. As per the Central Election Commission directive, the district has made significant progress in digitizing census forms returned by voters. The district has a total of 10,63,876 voters, and so far, 7,53,451 have been digitized.
During the house visit, it was discovered that 5720 voters have passed away in the district. The breakdown of deceased voters is as follows: 1974 in Bindur, 982 in Kundapur, 719 in Udupi, 1014 in Kapand, and 1031 in Karkala. Additionally, 3920 voters have been permanently transferred elsewhere, with 1449 from Byndur, 1241 from Kundapur, 439 from Udupi, 430 from Kapu, and 361 from Karkala.
The district has also seen 1543 voters complete online self-enrollment, with 752 of them from Byndur. The door-to-door collection of enumeration forms will continue until August 8. The district administration urges those who have not filled out the forms to do so immediately and submit them to their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs). For any difficulties or confusion, voters can visit their nearest BLO Facilitation Center or Voter Facilitation Center for assistance.
