On Sunday, October 4, Karnataka Minister for Health and Family Welfare U.T. Khader will inaugurate the fifth edition of Aatidonji Dinata Utsava 2026 at the Millennium Airport Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The festival, organised by Sandhya Creations Event Network Team (SCENT) in partnership with R D R K Events, aims to unite Karnataka’s religious and cultural groups under one roof, showcasing Tulunadu heritage through cuisine, performances and community services.
Approval for the event has been secured from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and organisers say all remaining formalities are close to completion.
A final coordination meeting titled “Dinner with Community Leaders” took place on September 17 at 7 p.m. in the Olive Tree Restaurant, Avree Hotel, Deira. SCENT representative Shodhan Prasad thanked the attendees for their involvement over the past four years and noted the palpable enthusiasm for the upcoming celebration.
Approximately twenty stalls will occupy the venue; thirteen will represent distinct community groups, while the others will provide free medical check‑ups, Ayurveda consultations, eye‑screenings and product exhibitions.
Philanthropist Dr. Ronald Colaco, NRI Distinguished Fellow of The Institute of Directors (India Global), will serve as the principal sponsor. Although a prior commitment prevents his physical presence, he has extended his blessings for the festival's success.
Spiritual leaders from various faiths will grace the occasion as chief guests. Among them are Sri Sri Swasthisri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Pandithacharayavariya Swamiji of the Jain Math in Moodbidri, Janab Anees Kousary, Dharmaguru and General Secretary of SKSSF, Karnataka, and Fr. Victor Fernandes, Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Church and Spiritual Director in Dubai.
Distinguished guests include Shri Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty, founder of the Parisara Premi Samiti NGO, Shri Mahabalamurthy Kodlekere, a noted poet and Vastu expert from Gokarna, and Padma Shri Dr. B.R. Shetty, industrialist and philanthropist honoured by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The ceremony will be hosted by MC Hithesh and MC Sushana, whose anchoring style has become a hallmark of the festival.
