Prayagraj: A strange incident took place in Prayagraj where thieves in a luxury car stole a goat and fled quickly.
Goat owner Mansoor Alam and locals rushed after the car, but the thieves escaped. The CCTV footage of the car has also gone viral on social media.
After the crime, Mansoor Alam filed a police complaint in this regard.
In a complaint lodged with the police by Alam, a resident of Kasari Masari, some people in a Honda City car parked outside his house on Monday. He said that the goat was tied outside the gate.
As seen in the purported video, the two men got out of the car and dragged their goat inside the vehicle and then fled towards the Jaguri crossing, he said.
Mansoor came out of the house and ran behind the car along with other local men. However, they failed to catch the thieves.
After the crime, goat owner Mansoor Alam immediately called the police control room and informed about the incident. The CCTV camera installed in the area captured the footage of the car moving fast and the goat inside the car.
When asked about the incident, the Dhoomanganj police unit said that further action will be taken in this regard after receiving the investigation report.
It is worth mentioning that the price of goats has gone up before Eid-ul-Aza. Goats are being sold from Rs 5,000 to Rs 1,00,000 depending on their size, weight and beauty.
