The bodies of three missing fishermen found Near Bekal
Kasaragod: On Monday, July 5, the dead body of 3 people who went missing after their boat capsized were discovered on the shore near Bekal Kotikulam. Sandeep (34), Rathish (35), and Kartik (22), all inhabitants of Kasaba Beach, were killed. When the fibre boat carrying seven people collapsed on Sunday morning, four people swam ashore and were rescued, while the other three went missing.
B Manikuttan, a 36-year-old Adkathabail Beach resident, Fishermen in other boats rescued Ravi (22), a resident of Kotikulam Kadappura, Shashi (35), a resident of Nellikunje, and Shibin (23), a resident of Kasaba. Local fisherman, coastal police, and fire department employees searched for the missing people until late Sunday night. Fishermen saw the bodies of three people washed up on the beach and alerted the authorities. The mortal remains were taken to Kasargod General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
