The first death toll for black fungal disease in Udupi

Udupi: A woman in Udupi has died of a black fungal disease that is now seen in Covid’s patients.
This fungal disease is mainly present in patients with diabetes. The 70-year-old woman has died of the disease. Sudhir Chandrasuda the district Chief Medical Officer has provided the information.


A total of seven people were cured in the district. The other two patients are getting treatment. Early treatment can cure the disease. The government has already stated that black fungus is not an infectious disease.
