The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security announced, on Monday, the launch of the “My Family” package, in cooperation with the Communications Regulatory Authority and Digital Government, as the entity that enables digital transformation in the UAE.

The package includes various automatic and complementary proactive services provided to citizens who are about to get married, starting with the marriage contract, passing through the service of separating the spouses from the family book and creating a new family book for them, as well as housing support services and the arrival of the newborn, up to the child reaching the school stage and reserving the school seat, and all of this is proactive, i.e. before requesting the service, and without uploading any documents.

The number of services included in the current phase of the “My Family” package is 16 services that are provided to UAE citizens without requesting them or filling out applications for obtaining them, and without downloading any documents, through electronic linkage with 33 federal, local and private government agencies.

The process of linking to the Government Service Link (GSB) developed by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Digital Government as one of the digital government enablers. It is scheduled that the number of services provided in the package will increase after its completion to 79 services, which will be shared by 185 federal, local and private government entities and institutions through the electronic link between the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security and those entities.

Ali Muhammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Authority, pointed out the importance of the “My Family” package as an embodiment of a new generation of proactive government services, which is based on providing services proactively to customers without requesting them, filling out their form data, or downloading any documents, as citizens obtain these services proactively through the “My Family” platform on the website Usrati.gov.ae as soon as the time comes and before requesting it, which contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens, saves them time and effort, raises their level of happiness, and achieves their aspirations and dreams.

He explained that “My Family” comes in the context of the authority’s keenness to respond quickly to the directives of the wise leadership related to developing services and providing them proactively without requesting them, making citizens happy and improving the quality of their lives. And complementary without any requests or documents submitted by customers.

He added: “Thanks to the support of our wise leadership, the sincerity of the Authority’s employees, and the constructive and fruitful cooperation provided by our partners in the federal and local governments and the private sector, we have been able to build a pioneering and advanced service system that meets the needs of customers and contributes to their happiness and improving their quality of life, in addition to strengthening the country’s position and leadership in global forums and international indicators.”

The journey of the citizen customer in the current stage of the “My Family” package includes a set of proactive services that reflect the true concept of quality of life and are provided proactively without requesting it. These services include documenting the marriage contract, issuing or updating the electronic family book, marriage grant, salary data, land and property, housing support, pregnancy, medical review appointments, and vaccination appointments.

He added that the components of “My Family” include all the services included in the “Congratulations Ma Yak” package, including issuing a birth certificate and identity, issuing a passport, adding a child to the family book, social allowance, automatic activation of the issuance and renewal of a health card, maternity leave and paternity leave, adding a child allowance, viewing growth questionnaires, until he reaches school age, and reserving his seat in nurseries and government schools.

He mentioned that among the other entities that the authority participated in designing the package were the executive councils, digital and electronic governments in the various emirates, health and community protection and its clinics, health authorities, community development, the Ministry of Justice, the Emirates Foundation for School Education, Al Etihad Credit Bureau, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, local human resources departments, land and property departments, housing programs, courts, judicial departments and private nurseries.

Major General Suhail Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority, confirmed, during the opening speech of the launch ceremony of the new package of services that was held at the Rixos Marina Hotel in Abu Dhabi, that the launch of “My Family” is a new step that the UAE is taking towards consolidating the true concept of quality of services and life. The package aims to provide various services to the citizen from the moment of birth until advanced stages of life, as it includes at the current stage 16 proactive services, which are shared by 33 federal, local and private government agencies, through electronic connectivity. These services were designed through 7 co-design workshops, and about 100 clients, male and female, representing different age groups of the targeted citizens, participated in their design.

He explained that the number of services provided within “My Family” is scheduled to increase, upon completion of its stages, to 79 services that are provided automatically to citizens without requesting them or submitting documents as soon as their due date comes, through electronic linkage with 185 government and private agencies in all emirates of the country.

Eng. Majid Al Mismar, Director General of the Communications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, said: One of the most important features of this package is that it is the fruit of the comprehensive partnership between the federal and local government agencies in addition to the private sector.

Mohammed bin Taliah, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government, emphasized that creating a new generation of government services according to integrated service packages embodies the directions of the UAE government under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in developing government work methodologies, in order to reach the best model in line with the requirements of the future and achieve the country’s leadership globally in the field of service provision.
