The Supreme Court will not hear the new affidavit filed by the Central Government regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court said that it would hear only on constitutional issues. The new affidavit of the Center has no effect in this matter. The Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court has asked all the parties to give their answers. On behalf of the Central Government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta gave information about the change in the situation in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 from the Supreme Court. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul said that this is a completely constitutional issue.
In this case, the Supreme Court has asked all the parties to file their reply by July 27. Orders have been given to give submissions filed in electronic mode. After this, the hearing on Article 370 will be held in fast track mode from August 2 on day-to-day i.e. three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The petitioners, IAS officer Shah Faesal and activist Shehla Rashid, withdrew the petition from the Supreme Court in this matter. The Supreme Court agreed and removed their names as petitioners. The petitioner complained in the Supreme Court about whose name should be the first in the petitions.
After this, the Supreme Court changed the title of the case.
It has been clarified by the Central Government that although the government has filed a reply regarding the changed situation in Jammu and Kashmir after the implementation of Article 370, it will not be used as an argument against the constitutional questions related to the case.
Senior advocate Raju Ramachandran told that Shah Fazal and Shehla Rashid have withdrawn the petition filed in the Supreme Court Article 370 case. To remove the names of both of them from the list of petitioners, the Chief Justice said that till now the lead petition was listed in the name of Shah Faisal vs UOI in the hearing of the Article 370 case.
