A vacation bench of Justices Anirudh Bose and Rajesh Bindal, who heard the appeal filed by the Delhi government against the High Court verdict, directed the High Court to hear the petition expeditiously.

Bike-taxi aggregators had petitioned the Delhi government to allow them to operate without a license until a policy is formulated. But the Delhi government opposed this. By this, bike taxis were banned in Delhi. Rapido and Uber filed a petition in the High Court against this. The High Court, which heard the application of Rapido and Uber, on May 26 gave permission to bike taxis.
