On Tuesday, Sujnana Educational Trust, a prominent educational institution in Kundapura, received the national-level ‘Education Excellence Award–2026’ at the ‘Education Excellence Conference & Awards–2026’ event held at the Indian Habitat Center in New Delhi. The award was presented by Dr. Sukant Majumdar, Union Minister of State for Education, who was the chief guest at the event. The event was jointly organized by ‘Fit India’ and ‘School Grads’ organizations, and the award was given to only a few select prominent educational institutions in the country. Sujnana Educational Trust was chosen for the award due to its outstanding service in the field of education, quality teaching, sports, literature, culture, and value-based education, as well as its proper use of modern technology. Dr. Ramesh Shetty, President of the trust, along with Secretary Pratapchandra Shetty and Treasurer Bharat Shetty, received the award from the Union Minister. Dr. Majumdar congratulated the award-winning institutions, stating that India’s education system is rapidly modernizing and that reforms in the education sector are essential for the country’s development. He emphasized that teachers should not only teach but also guide students in shaping their future. Dr. Ramesh Shetty expressed his gratitude, saying that the award is a moment of great joy and pride for the institution, and that it is a recognition of the hard work of the trust’s staff and students. He dedicated the award to the society, parents, and students who have supported the institution. The event was attended by several prominent figures in the education sector, including Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari and Arukas Private Limited Director Juhie Rajput.
