The Skoda showroom in Chilimbi, Mangaluru, now in its thirteenth year of operation, demonstrates substantial growth, notably driven by the recently launched Kylaq model. This local dealership has significantly expanded its reach, with annual vehicle sales more than doubling from 250 to over 500 units since its inception.
Recent figures highlight the showroom's strong performance. In just three months, the new Skoda Kylaq has garnered over 1,450 inquiries, leading to 186 confirmed bookings. Customers in Mangaluru have already taken delivery of 48 Kylaq units. Beyond the latest addition, the showroom consistently delivers approximately 20 Kushaq vehicles each month. Furthermore, it has handed over a total of 1,300 Slavia sedans and 60 Kodiaq SUVs to satisfied owners in the region. An updated version of the Skoda Kodiaq is anticipated for unveiling in June 2025.
Skoda, recognized globally for its European engineering and German technology, emphasizes safety across its product line. Every Skoda model, including base variants, achieves a 5-star NCAP safety rating. The Kylaq, for instance, starts at Rs 9.80 lac. The brand also offers comprehensive warranty packages: a 5-year warranty for the Kushaq, 3 years for the Slavia, and 4 years for the Kodiaq.
Driving the Chilimbi showroom's success is its dedicated team of 18 staff members, spearheaded by dynamic sales head Kiran Kumar Suvarna. Complementing sales efforts, Skoda operates a service center in Urwa. This facility, staffed by 30 skilled technicians, earns widespread customer appreciation for its timely and efficient service, reinforcing Skoda's commitment to excellence both before and after the sale.
