Mysore, June 17: Minister of State for Social Welfare HC Mahadevappa has said that Siddaramaiah will rule for 5 years as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Siddaramaiah is the Chief Minister. They are going to continue. He replied to a question about power sharing that in our party there is a discussion about the Chief Minister being the same as Siddaramaiah.
Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar is not wrong in saying that Dalits should get the post of Chief Minister. The oppressed should be given a chance. I also want to become Chief Minister. Because, I am not a Buddha either. He said that he was just following his principles.
Dalits feel the pain that we are the ones who vote and others are the ones who enjoy the power. Our government will never engage in such work as twisting the constitution. Acting according to the Constitution is our agenda. He said that when the fundamental rights of the people are threatened, the government will decide whether to continue such programs (which were done by the previous government) or not.
Our current objective is to open all Indira canteens. There is no offer of non-vegetarian food. If you want, you can bring it there and eat it. A person can choose any religion he wants. There is a provision for that in the constitution. There is no hindrance in propagating his religion. However, forced conversion is not allowed. He said that there is no need for a separate act for this.
History should be properly told to the youth community through textbooks. Society will deteriorate if it is distorted. Ambedkar, Kuvempu, Narayanguru etc. who transcended caste and religion should not be misinterpreted. There is no need to see Tipu as a villain. He said that it is also meaningless to say that India is going to be made Pakistan.
The Karnataka Cow Slaughter Prohibition and Cattle Protection Act- 1964 itself states that an old cow should be sacrificed when it is tired and exhausted. Hugging cows and taking photos without feeding the cattle and washing the dirt is not husbandry. He explained that I, Siddaramaiah, are the ones who fell and fought with cows and calves and grew up with them.
We will investigate everything that is worthy of investigation, including the 40 percent commission issue. He said that Siddaramaiah is not a low-level politician who does compromise politics.
