The shadow of both mother and father has now gone from Mithun Chakraborty’s head. Mithun’s father Basanto Kumar Chakraborty passed away about three years ago due to kidney ailment.
Mithun spoke openly about his parents in an interview. He told that even after the son was a superstar, his parents led a simple life.
The actor had said, My parents never realized that their son has finally become a Bollywood star. It never occurred to him that his son was a popular film star, nor did it matter to him. They were simple, conservative people who lived a simple life. My father was a supervisor in a government telephone exchange office and was a happy man with a happy family.
