Davangere, June, 11: Sakthi Yojana has been launched for free travel in government buses for women across the state. Similarly, in Davangere, senior Congress MLA Shamanur Shivshankarappa and Minister of Mines and Earth Sciences, Horticulture S. S. Mallikarjun initiated the bus journey. Speaking at this time, Shivashankarappa expressed his displeasure that the condition imposed for this project was not right.

Shakti Yojana is an excellent project, said Shamanur Shivashankarappa, who launched the Shakti Yojana, an ambitious project of the Karnataka State Government, for free bus travel for women at the KSRTC bus stand next to the city’s high school ground.

Women of the state are allowed free bus travel. But I don’t know why the state government imposed the condition. The condition is not correct. I will propose about this in the assembly session. I will share my views there. He said that he is personally not satisfied that the condition has been imposed.

Congress has given reservation to women

Because of repeated lies by BJP, people forgot the good work done by Congress in the past. It was the Congress party that gave reservation to women in politics for the first time in the country. We walk as we speak. We have done as mentioned before. He said that this project will be useful for rural women, young women and school children.

Disciplinary action if passengers are disturbed

No woman should have trouble traveling. In this regard, KSRTC staff should ensure that passengers are not inconvenienced. Shamanur Sivashankarappa warned that the state government will take disciplinary action against the staff if this is not handled properly.

At the same time, let the women make adequate use of the Shakti Yojana. He said that the government scheme should reach women effectively.

Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar were left reeling in the battle of Asuras. Then Parvati was married and the Asuras were killed. The problem that arose then was fought and killed. Similarly, the Congress government is implementing a good scheme by allowing women to travel in government buses for free.

Power project launched in Mysore too

Similarly, Shakti Yojana, which provides free travel to women, got a ceremonial start in Mysore on Sunday. Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa launched this project.

Speaking later, HC Mahadevappa said that after the Congress government came to power in the state, it has given programs to benefit every woman in Karnataka. “Shakti Yojana Free Travel for Women” program is the most important among the programs designed for women empowerment, which has been implemented across the state from today, he said.

He said that on behalf of Karnataka Government and Mysore Division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, women across the state of Karnataka have been enabled to travel free in city transport, general transport and express government buses.
