‘Seal residential areas with greater than three COVID-19 instances’ in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru: The BBMP has issued severe instructions for enforcing its orders to shut residential areas, including flats where three or more cases have been reported.
Due to an increase in Covid cases in the Mahadevapura zone, which includes International Tech Park (ITPL), the city’s key IT sector, this order is already in place. A notification has already been issued by Mahadevapura zone Joint Commissioner Venkatachalapathy.
Various residential complexes in Horamavu, Hoodi, Varthur, and Bellandur have been sealed off till August 7. After 20 Covid instances were recorded in the Kaveripura ward of the Yelahanka zone, authorities conducted a door-to-door campaign. Officials from the health department have also accompanied Asha workers to these regions to check on first and secondary contacts.
