Price rise, unemployment rise: Mallikarjuna Kharge lashes out at central government
New Delhi: Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge on Wednesday lashed out at the Modi government over price rise and unemployment, saying people will not pay for BJP’s ’empty slogans’ and this time they will oust it from power.
The Congress also took the Center to task for the hike in prices of vegetables and other essential food items. It urged the government to take immediate steps to solve this problem.
Both inflation and unemployment are increasing continuously due to looting by Modi government. But BJP is in the greed of power.

‘Both inflation and unemployment are continuously increasing due to looting by Modi government. But, BJP is drowning in greed for power. The price of vegetables is skyrocketing and the unemployment rate in the country has increased to 8.45%,” Kharge tweeted in Hindi.
The unemployment rate in the villages is 8.73% and the demand for MGNREGA (NREGA) is at its peak in the villages. But, there is no work to be done. The wage rate is low in rural areas,’ he said.
‘Narendra Modi ji, you are working on ‘acche din’ and ‘amrit kala’ slogans before elections, people of the country know that your failures can be covered up with the help of advertisements. But, this time it won’t happen. The public is aware and will answer your empty slogans by voting against the BJP,” the Congress chief said.
Stop forgiving, Kharge asserted that the public will throw the BJP out of power.
On Tuesday, the women’s unit of the party also protested in front of the BJP office here, demanding compensation for the increase in the price of essential food items.
Speaking at a press conference, Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinathe said the party has kept a basket of tomatoes, garlic, ginger and green chillies. 1,070 due to rising inflation. If the price is more than that, it is a good option for gifting.
