President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in M’luru on Oct 7
Mangaluru: P Ravikumar, chief secretary of the state, was informed on Wednesday, September 29, by district deputy commissioner Rajendra K V that preparations are underway for the President’s visit. Rajendra said that in accordance with Rashtrapati Bhavan protocols and directions, the stay, food, and other arrangements for the President will be handled in a timely manner.
The President will leave Mysuru airport at 5.20 pm on October 7 and arrive at Mangaluru airport at 6.10 pm after visiting Bengaluru and Biligiri Rangana Betta in Chamarajanagar district. The following morning following breakfast, he will arrive at the airport here at 10.45 am and take a helicopter to Sringeri temple at 11.40 am, where he will pay obeisance to the presiding deity. At 3.15 pm, he will leave Sringeri for the airport here at 3.45 pm. He will arrive in the city at 4.10 pm and spend the night here. After breakfast on October 9, he will leave at 11 am and arrive in New Delhi at 11.25 am.
City corporation commissioner, Akshy Sridhar, deputy commissioner of police, Hariram Shankar, Mescom managing director, Prashant Mishra, assistant commissioner, Madan Mohan, PWD executive engineer Yashwant and officials of various other departments were present.
