Parika, Udupi: Sridharmasthal Manjunatheshwar Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital, widely known as Parika Soukhyavan Hospital, has officially secured accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals (NABH). Dr. Gopal Pujari, the hospital's Chief Medical Officer, announced this significant achievement at a press conference held at the Udupi Press Club. This national recognition highlights the institution's commitment to excellent service quality.

Operating under the esteemed guidance of Srikshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Virendra Heggade, the hospital, established two decades ago and commencing operations in 2007 with 60 beds, has since expanded considerably to a 320-bed facility. Dr. Pujari emphasized that obtaining national accreditation was crucial to ensure patients admitted receive comprehensive, high-standard facilities.

Preparations for the rigorous accreditation process commenced in August 2023. The hospital meticulously reviewed and modified its facilities and amenities across all departments, adhering strictly to the NABH Vargadarshi formula. Significant upgrades were implemented in treatment, sanitation, diet, and medical departments. Additionally, the hospital secured an Air Pollution Control Board certificate and established an emergency fire management system, ensuring compliance with national safety and quality benchmarks.

A dedicated NABH team visited Soukhyavan in March of this year, conducting a thorough inspection of every department. Their subsequent report formed the basis for the National Accreditation Board's decision to award the prestigious NABH certificate. This accreditation remains valid for a period of four years.

Praveen Kumar, manager of Pareeka Soukhyavan, expressed confidence that this recognition would lead to increased patient enrollment and guarantee even higher quality services for those seeking treatment at the institution. Also present at the press conference were Dr. Shobhit Shetty, resident medical officer; Dr. Pooja G., female medical officer; and physiotherapist Dr. Chetana.
