Suhan Alva, NSUI Dakshina Kannada District President, announced the launch of a signature collection campaign across college campuses in Mangaluru on July 7. The campaign demands justice for students affected by the NEET exam paper leak and student suicide cases. At a press conference at the Dakshina Kannada District Congress office, Alva stated that NSUI office bearers will collect signatures from students on postcards in all eight assembly constituencies and submit them to the Prime Minister. The campaign will continue until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan takes responsibility for the NEET irregularities and resigns. Alva also announced the ‘Sansad Chalo’ program, scheduled for the first week of August, where representatives from Dakshina Kannada district will participate.
Additionally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ campaign to understand the problems faced by students on campus. Students can share their concerns with national and state leaders using a QR code provided by NSUI until the end of July. The NSUI aims to bring attention to the struggles of students and demand action from the government.
