LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that no religious procession will be allowed without the approval
He chaired a law and order review meeting held on Monday night and gave significant directions on the recent clashes in Delhi’s Jahangir Puri area. The Eid and Akshaya tertiary festivals are expected to arrive on the same date at the beginning of next month.
No religious procession is allowed without permission. All organizers are required to submit an affidavit promising to maintain peace and harmony before being granted permission. He tweeted from his official account that only those religious orthodox festivals are allowed and no new programs are allowed.
The state government on Monday canceled all state police and administrative officers’ holidays until May 4 and urged everyone on leave to attend duty within 24 hours.
Yogi Adityanath has advised the Additional Director General (ADG) level officials from the police station to interact with religious leaders and dignitaries in the next 24 hours to maintain peace at the upcoming festivals and said that the use of mikes in religious places is permitted but the use of new mikes is not permitted
“Additional police forces should be deployed in sensitive areas and drones should be used to monitor the situation. Every evening, the police forces should be patrolling the foot and the police response vehicles (PRVs) should be active. ”
