Kota: The BJP has elected new presidents and secretaries for its shakti kendras under the Irodi Gram Panchayat in Kundapur taluk. The decision came during a meeting held at Shivkrupa Kalyan Mandir in Sastana recently. Kundapur BJP Constituency President Suresh Shetty Gopadi chaired the gathering. The party aims to strengthen its grassroots network by reorganising booth-level units into larger shakti kendras. MP Kota Srinivasa Pujari, who proposed the plan, said each shakti kendra will cover 2-3 polling booths. This structure, he explained, will unite booth-level workers and improve coordination within the party. A. Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA of Kundapur Assembly Constituency, attended the meeting and guided workers on party strengthening and grassroots organisation. The event saw the presence of several senior leaders. They included BJP Near East President Shankar Ankadakatte, Mandal General Secretary Satish Pujari Vakwadi, and Sudhir KS. Kota BJP Maha Shakti Kendra President Suresh Kunder and General Secretary Ajith Shetty Kottadi were also present. Backward Classes State Vice President Irodi Vithala Pujari, District BJP Vice President Jyoti Uday Pujari, and Irodi Shakti Kendra Near East President Ramesh Karanth attended the meeting along with other party leaders and workers. The newly elected office-bearers are expected to play a key role in mobilising support at the booth level in the Kundapur Assembly segment.
