With less than a year to go for the Lok Sabha elections, the election preparations have already begun. The opposition has started chanting the mantra of unity to defeat the Modi-led BJP.
While 16 parties participated in the first round of opposition meeting in Patna, 26 parties participated in the ongoing meeting in Bengaluru. After the meeting of the opposition, the NDA, which is awake, is also ready to show strength.
If the opposition shows unity in Bengaluru, the NDA will show its strength in Delhi. BJP National President JP Nadda said in a media conference on Monday that 38 parties will participate in the NDA meeting.
Today’s NDA and UPA meetings will give a clear picture about the next Lok Sabha elections. The fact that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also participated in the opposition meeting has brought strength to the opposition group.
A mantra of unity in Bangalore
With the slogan ‘United We Stand’, the opposition has come out for a solidarity demonstration in Bengaluru. Leaders of 26 opposition parties gathered at the Taj West End.

NCP leader Sharad Pawar, who missed the meeting on the first day, is arriving in Bangalore today and has put an end to the speculations. Recently, Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar supported the BJP-Eknath Shinde alliance government in Maharashtra along with many MLAs and MPs. The main purpose of the opposition unity meeting is to agree on seat sharing talks between the anti-BJP parties state wise.
38 parties united to bring Modi to power
BJP president JP Nadda said that 38 NDA partners will attend today’s meeting in Delhi. The NDA meeting got a boost with LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan joining the coalition after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday.
The two leaders are known to have spoken about Chirag returning to the NDA and contesting from his father’s favorite Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency.
Upendra Kushwaha, another stalwart from Bihar, said that he has been invited to the NDA meeting to be held in Delhi. He said that there is no alternative to PM Modi in 2024.
MLA Vinay Kore, who heads the Jana Surajya Shakti Party after breaking away from the NCP in Maharashtra, and Bachu Kadu, president of the Prahar Janashakti Party, have been invited to the NDA meeting today.
