Mumbai police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into a shooting incident that targeted actor Tiger Shroff's vehicle on the evening of October 18, 2026. The Juhu Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against three unidentified individuals following the attack, which occurred near the Jamnabai Narsee International School grounds in Vile Parle West.
The incident left Shroff's long-time caretaker and driver, 47-year-old Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, with a gunshot wound to his left hand near the wrist and a fracture to his right hand's ring finger. Another person present at the scene also sustained a bullet injury to the chest and is currently receiving treatment at Cooper Hospital. While Shroff himself was not shot, he reportedly suffered injuries to his chest and right arm during the chaotic event.
Police documents indicate that the attack unfolded around 7 p.m. as Shroff and Baloch were returning by car after a football game. They had earlier departed from the M.M. Matrix Gym in Santacruz West. As their vehicle exited the school grounds and turned left, two unidentified assailants, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, allegedly approached and opened fire using pistols. Investigators state that seven rounds were discharged at the car from the front and its left side, causing widespread panic among onlookers.
The FIR, registered under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act, suggests the attackers intended to kill Shroff and Baloch. Following the gunfire, the assailants fled the scene, with details about their escape vehicle included in the complaint. Shroff reportedly took control of the steering wheel, driving the injured Baloch directly to the Santacruz Police Station before he was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Santacruz West for medical attention.
Authorities are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the two shooters, whose physical descriptions and clothing details have been provided, and to ascertain the roles of any accomplices involved in planning and executing the assault.
