Bengaluru, July 13: There have been significant developments in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is constantly trying to find a foothold in Karnataka. AAP’s state president election took place a few months before the Lok Sabha elections.
Renowned theater and film artiste and former MLA Chief Minister Chandru has been appointed as the new state president of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Karnataka unit. The National General Secretary of AAP party organization Sandeep Pathak made an announcement in this regard on Wednesday night in Delhi.
State President along with State Organizing Secretaries B.T. Naganna and Arjun Parappa Halagi Gowdar have been appointed by the party officially. Prithvi Reddy, who was earlier serving as the state president of Aam Aadmi Party, has now been appointed as the party’s national joint secretary, the party has issued an announcement.
AAP state president who did not contest in the assembly
In the last Karnataka assembly election of 2023, he was involved in campaigning for the party’s candidates, but he himself did not intend to contest the election. He said that he would get involved in the organization of the party. Now AAP has appointed him as the state president.
He started his political career by contesting and winning elections from the Janata Party in Gouribidanur and joined the Aam Aadmi Party in recent years. From there, they fought against the illegality, corruption and wrong decisions of the ruling political parties. Participants in various protests.
The Aam Aadmi Party is continuously trying to win the assembly elections in the state. Also BBMP had started some campaign keeping in view the election. It said that it will give priority to youth and locals in all elections. It is said that AAP is currently focusing on the upcoming elections.
