Mangaluru, Oct 3: Dakshina Kannada MP Brijesh Chowta has urged concerted action from public representatives, lawyers, and citizens across the coastal region to secure a Karnataka High Court bench in Mangaluru. Speaking at a consultative meeting held last Saturday in a private hotel hall in the city, Chowta emphasized the critical necessity of this establishment, stating it would significantly contribute to the district's development and enhance Mangaluru's importance.

The MP outlined plans for taluk-level meetings, to be spearheaded by local MLAs, aimed at gathering comprehensive public opinion on the High Court bench's necessity.
