On a recent visit to Mangaluru, MLC S.L. Bhojegowda emphasized the importance of value-based education and ethics for students. Speaking at the Dakshina Kannada District Level Educational Convention, he urged students to look beyond mere academic marks. The convention, which included Student Talent Awards and felicitation of retired principals, was jointly organized by the D.K. District Pre-University College Principals’ Association and Adventure Pre-University College, Bantwal. Bhojegowda expressed his delight at the quality education being provided in rural areas, citing such events as a source of inspiration for students. The event was presided over by Amrit Rai U., President of Adventure Pre-University College, who stressed the need for hard work and proper guidance in student development. Students who secured state-level ranks in the 2nd PUC final examination were honored with financial aid, and retired principals were also felicitated. The event saw participation from various dignitaries, including Vithala Aboora, Hariprakash Bailadi, and Rakshitha Amrit Rai. Dr. Naveen Shetty K. welcomed the gathering, while Desmond Edward D’Mello delivered the vote of thanks. The program was compered by Sharmila Mukesh Rao and Satish Acharya.
