Bangalore: BJP MLA from Belthangady ha appealed to CM to announce relief package for certain sections of Dakshina Kannada district
He met the CM BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday. Beedi workers, press workers and other daily workers requested to be included in a compensation package.
The geographically vast coastal population of Karnataka is suffering a different kind of crisis due to Corona situation. Harish Poonja has demanded compensation for the drivers and operators of private buses traveling in our district.
Lockdown solution for skin craftsmen
Minister of Social Welfare, Sriramulu said that two thousand workers will be compensated in the wake of the lockdown. 50 thousand skilled artisans in the state are compensated with 2 thousand each. A grant of Rs 10 crore will be released for this purpose.
Applications are allowed from June 3 to 15. Babu Jagjivan Ram skin industrial development corporation will be compensated. The distribution of compensation to the beneficiary’s account will be taken, Sriramulu said.
