On Sunday, the annual festival of Our Lady of Miracles Church, also known as Milagris Church, was observed with great fervor in Mangalore. The festivities, which took place on June 5, featured two main Holy Masses. At 7:00 a.m., the first Holy Mass was conducted in Konkani by Vm. Walter D’Souza, the Principal Priest of Bendur Church. He emphasized that Mother Mary always shields her children and encourages us to spread God’s love to others. The Second Holy Mass, held at 8:30 a.m. in English, was presided over by Vm. Kenneth Krasta, the Assistant Director of St. Joseph Engineering College. He spoke about Mother Mary’s immense love and care for her devotees. Following the conclusion of the rituals, Vm. Father Ivan Rodrigues, the head priest of the church, expressed his sincere gratitude to the fellow priests, committee members, volunteers, donors, and all devotees who contributed to the church’s development throughout the year. Several priests, including Reverend Avith Pois, Alvin Serrao, and Uday Fernandes, co-consecrated the Mass. The festival successfully created an atmosphere of devotion, gratitude, and unity among the devotees, as stated in a church release.
