Mangaluru, 1 November 2023 – The Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom in the city opened its “Time Unveiled” watch exhibition on Friday, a showcase that will run through 8 November. More than 15 international watch houses are represented, offering thousands of models with discounts that reach up to 50 percent.
Former D.K. District Bus Owners' Association president and entrepreneur Dilraj Alva cut the ribbon, noting that the event gives local shoppers a rare chance to own premium timepieces at reduced rates. He extended best wishes to the organisers and attendees.
During the ceremony, several dignitaries presented collections from different brands. Abu Dhabi‑based businessman Abdussalam, who lives in Mangaluru, unveiled the Tag Heuer line, while Premanath Shetty Hejamadi introduced Rado. Dr. Mustafa Bastikodi took the stage for the Tissot range, Padmanabha Shetty Puttur revealed King Seiko, G.A. Mohammed Yusuf Kalladka displayed Seiko, and Sanish Augustine presented Cerruti.
The event also featured a cake‑cutting by Madhava Mave Salethur, who offered his congratulations. Organisers highlighted additional perks such as an exchange scheme for old watches, complimentary battery replacement and free polishing services.
Karunakaran, director of the Mangalore outlet, welcomed the gathering, supported by store head Hafeez Rahman, showroom manager Girish Rai, sales manager Mohammed Sameer, marketing manager Sheikh Farhan and other members of the management committee.
