On Saturday, the book launch event for ‘A Hole in the Boat’ written by Dr. Abdul Hameed Athar Nadwi took place at Iqra Girls’ Arabic School in Melinamogeru, Mangaluru. Dignitaries released the book, published by Iqra Academy of Research and Publication, at the event. Translator Zainab emphasized the importance of translating Islamic literature into various languages, including English, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi, to overcome language barriers. She emphasized that knowledge is beneficial only when acquired under the guidance of good mentors and Ulamas. Zainab encouraged students to become future translators, writers, researchers, publishers, and ambassadors of Islamic knowledge, and urged them to allocate at least twenty minutes daily for good reading. The event was attended by Iqra Arabic School Principal Maulana Salim Nadwi, Vice Principal Maulana Dawood Nadwi, Head of Arabic Department Maulana Abdul Rafi Nadwi, Mohammed Farhan Nadwi, and Abdul Hameed Khalifa. Ulamas, teachers, parents, students, and well-wishers participated in the event, which marked a significant milestone in promoting Islamic literature in the region.
