Maharashtra: Fadnavis orders probe into former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya’s obscene video
Mumbai: An obscene video said to be of BJP leader Kirit Somaiah has gone viral on the internet. After this, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is also Maharashtra Home Minister, ordered an investigation.
After the video was aired, the opposition criticized that ‘the real face of the ruling alliance has now come out’. But this video is fake and I have not molested any woman. Kirit Somayya demanded that an investigation be carried out and action taken.
The video was first aired by Marathi news channel Lokshahi and later went viral. An 8-hour video has been revealed and it is said that there are scenes of Somaiya Rasaleela with a woman. But the woman in the video has not complained so far. Neelam Gore, Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, has demanded that women should trust the law and file a complaint. Meanwhile, Fadnavis ordered an investigation and said, ‘The woman in the video will be found. “A comprehensive investigation will be conducted and the guilty will be punished,” he said.
But the opposition said, ‘The nature and true face of the ruling alliance has now been revealed. Kirit Somaiah intimidated many MLAs and MPs and extorted money. A lot of women now have ED. It is known that blackmail was done in the name of investigation. Now they should take disciplinary action against Kirit Somaiah,’ said Congress MLA Yashomathy Thakur.
