Madonna

American pop star Madonna, 64, confirmed to her fans, Monday, that she is “recovering” after contracting “severe bacteria” that required her hospitalization and prompted her to postpone her world tour.

In a post on her social media pages, the singer mentioned for the first time her hospitalization and her transfer to the intensive care unit for several days in June. She wrote, “When I woke up in the hospital, the first thing that came to my mind was my children, and then I thought I didn’t want to disappoint all the people who bought tickets to my concerts.”

The injury prompted Madonna to postpone her world tour entitled “The Celebration Tour”, which was scheduled to run between July and December in North America and Europe, and to have her first concert in Vancouver, western Canada, on July 15.
The singer said on Monday: “I am currently focusing on my health, and I assure you that I will return to my artistic activity when I am able to do so.”
And the singer’s manager, Guy Oseary, announced at the end of last June that Madonna had been infected with “severe bacteria”, which required her hospitalization and transfer to the intensive care unit, indicating that she was recovering.
Madonna indicated that her goal is to revive her concerts in Europe on the dates originally set within the European tour, which is supposed to start from London on October 14 (October), and to reschedule the dates for the canceled concerts in North America, sending a message of thanks to her fans.
