Kandapur, July 24 (SO News) While visiting Arasinagundi Falls in Kollur a popular tourist spot, a 23-year-old man’s foot suddenly slipped and he fell straight into the rushing water and went missing. The incident took place on Sunday, but a video in this regard has gone viral on social media on Monday.

The youth, who went missing after falling into the waterfall, has been identified as Sharad Kumar, a resident of Bhadravati in Shimoga district.

According to the complaint filed by Sharad’s father, he had gone to Arasena Gundi Falls by car from Bhadravati at around 7.30 am on Sunday. At around 3.30 pm he was standing on a rock near the waterfall when he accidentally

Kollurslipped and fell into the waterfall and went missing in the Sopernica river.

Sharad is five feet four inches tall, with a scar on his left forehead from an old injury. And he was wearing blue half pants and half sleeved shirt with white and black stripes.

Eyewitnesses said that one of Sharad’s friends was standing on top of a stone and recording a video of Sharad, during which the scene of Sharad suddenly slipping and falling into the waterfall was also captured on his mobile phone.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Kollore police station and investigation is on.

It should be noted that during the rainy season, on the one hand, those visiting rivers, lakes, seas and waterfalls need to be very alert, while they should avoid standing and enjoying the natural scenery in such a place, where there is no chance to escape in case of falling down. It should be noted that standing on such rocks can sometimes lead to slippage, while standing or walking on rain-soaked rocks is not without danger.
