Bengaluru, June 05: KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar has made it clear that Mallikarjun Kharge did not negotiate with anyone during his visit to Delhi regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. The Congress has fielded two candidates for the rajya sabha elections to be held from Karnataka on June 10.
Speaking in Tumkur, D. K. Shivakumar said, “Senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge has not held any talks with anyone regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. Fake news has been spread about this,” he said.
“Kharge went to Delhi one day to attend a party meeting. Like a think tank, there was a meeting there too. Apart from that, they have neither consulted nor negotiated with anyone,” he said.
Jairam Ramesh and Mansur Ali Khan are the Congress candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. It is alleged that the JDS pressured Mallikarjun Kharge to withdraw the second nomination of Congress.
