On August 16, 2026, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, in collaboration with FOI, hosted a significant blood donation camp at the Dubai Health Authority Headquarters in Al Jaddaf. The initiative served as a profound commemoration of India's 80th Independence Day, shifting traditional celebrations towards an act of direct community service.
Under the inspiring banner, "Service to the Nation is Service to Humanity," the camp underscored the organization's enduring commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian engagement. Rather than merely observing the national day ceremonially, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah actively contributed to societal well-being, reflecting core values of compassion and collective responsibility.
The drive saw enthusiastic participation from numerous voluntary donors. Their contributions highlight the critical role of blood donation in saving lives during medical emergencies and times of need. A single unit of donated blood, as emphasized at the event, offers renewed hope to patients and their families facing critical health situations.
Dr. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, the Consul General of India in Dubai, formally inaugurated the blood donation camp. During the event, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah President Vishwanath Shetty and Director of the Managing Committee Praveen Kumar Shetty felicitated Dr. Reddy, with members of the Advisory Committee also present.
The successful execution of the camp resulted from the dedicated efforts of the Directors of the Managing Committee, members of the Advisory Committee, and the Executive Committee of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah. The organization extended its heartfelt gratitude to all voluntary blood donors, members, volunteers, well-wishers, and collaborators whose support proved instrumental. Through this initiative, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah reaffirmed that patriotism extends beyond celebration, manifesting powerfully through meaningful acts benefiting the wider community. The event resonated with the message: "Donate Blood – Save Lives; Keep the Lamp of Humanity Burning."
