Karkala's Shree Bhuvanendra English Medium School recently marked the official launch of its new Cubs and Bull Bull units under the esteemed Bharat Scout and Guide movement. Jyoti J. Pai, President of the Bharat Scouts Guides Karkala unit, presided over the inaugural ceremony, which saw young participants take center stage.
The event commenced with Ms. Pai symbolically lighting the lamp, formally establishing the new units. Addressing the enthusiastic students, she emphasized how the Scouts Guides program fosters a spirit of service, discipline, and patriotism from an early age, guiding them towards responsible citizenship. Following her address, the children showcased their talents with a lively performance song.
Narendra Kamath K., Governing Board Director of Shrimad Bhuvanendra Vidya Sansthan, attended as the chief guest. In his remarks, Mr. Kamath highlighted the movement's crucial role in developing leadership qualities, self-reliance, and an appreciation for nature among students, affirming its positive impact on their future. Further enriching the program, Savitri Manohar, Vice-President of the Karkala Scout Guides Local Organization, captivated the young audience with engaging stories of moral value.
The ceremony also saw the presence of several other dignitaries, including Bola Geeta Sudhir Kamath, Assistant District Commissioner of the local body; R Narayana Shenai, Head Teacher of Srimad Bhuvanendra High School; and Seema Kamath, Guide Teacher and Secretary. Vidya Kini, Primary School Head Teacher and Assistant District Commissioner for the Scouts Guides Local Organization, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Ganesh Jalsoor, Secretary of the Scout Teacher Association, provided introductory remarks, while Teacher Ranjitha Cubbs recited the Bull Bull Rule. Teacher Savita Pujari narrated the program's proceedings, and Teacher Shweta Bhat delivered the vote of thanks, with assistance from Teacher Sneha Londe.
The event gathered Cubs and Bull Bull teachers, student parents, school teachers, and non-teaching relatives, concluding with the traditional Eikya Mantra, symbolizing unity and collective spirit.
