On a recent occasion in Karkala, the South Canara Photographers Association, a District Rajyotsava Award winner, collaborated with Sri Mahadevi Bhajana Mandali to host a legal awareness camp exclusively for women. Renowned advocate and General Secretary of the association, Padmaprasad Jain, emphasized the importance of legal awareness among women, stressing that it is crucial for their empowerment. The event, which took place in the Dakshina Kannada–Udupi District, specifically in the Karkala Zone, was well-received by the women members of the Bhajana Mandali. As the General Secretary, Padmaprasad Jain played a pivotal role in organizing the camp, which aimed to educate women about their legal rights and entitlements. The initiative is commendable, given the need for increased legal awareness among women in the region. By conducting such programs, the association demonstrates its commitment to the welfare of women in the community.
