Karkala: Plastic rice found in the rice meant for distributing to cardholders.

Karkala: Plastic rice was found in the rice that was meant for distributing among ration cardholders. The incident happened in Belman village Panchayath of karkala Taluk . The villagers complained to the village panchayath official When they checked the rice that was given to them is suspicious .

The Grama Panchayat informed about this to the Karkala ration center and the food department official. “The authorities have initiated a scrutiny of the issue,” said Nithyananda Shatty, president of Belman Agricultural Services Co-operative Society. Customers who have already received rice have been asked to return.
