For the 2025 Mahopadhyaya Award, the endowment named after Dr. Y.P. Upadhyaya and supported by Dr. Warij Manchi will honour senior scholar Dr. K. Chinnappa Gowda in recognition of his lifelong work in Kannada literature and scholarship.

The 2026 Mahopadhyaya Award, under the same endowment, selects renowned researcher Prof. Madhava Peraje for his distinguished contributions to scientific inquiry and academic mentorship.

The Mogasale Sahitya Award, financed by the Mogasale family endowment, has been awarded to Dr. Narendra Rai Deryl, celebrated author and literary critic, for his recent body of work that bridges contemporary themes with classical Kannada prose.

Each prize comprises a cash component of ten thousand rupees, a copper plaque and a formal citation. The awards will be conferred by Dharmadarshi Dr. Harikrishna Punaru during the opening day of the festival, which blends religious rites with cultural performances.
