Mangaluru's Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences officially welcomed its inaugural batch of 250 MBBS students with a comprehensive orientation program held on September 7. Addressing the new entrants and their parents at the Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences auditorium, Dr. Haji U.K. Monu, Founder President of the Kanachur Islamic Education Foundation, urged students to build their medical careers on principles of honesty and a strong spirit of social service.

Dr. Monu, who presided over the event, reiterated the institution's foundational commitment to delivering quality medical education and fostering community service. He assured parents of the college's dedication to ensuring the personal safety and holistic development of every student.

The orientation aimed to provide thorough guidance to the newly admitted students regarding their academic journey, the college environment, established regulations, and available infrastructure. Abdul Rahman, the institution's Director, presented detailed information on campus facilities, discipline protocols, hostel amenities, and security systems. He also advised parents to maintain regular communication with the management about their children's academic progress.

Dr. Shahanawaz Manippady, the Dean, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. He firmly stated the college's zero-tolerance policy against ragging, group clashes, drug abuse, and any form of indisciplined behavior on campus. Dr. Muhammad Ismail, Chairman of the Kanachur Health Sciences Advisory Committee, delivered an inspiring address. Other dignitaries present on the dais included Dr. Rohan S. Monis, Chief Administrative Officer, and Dr. Anjan Kumar, Medical Superintendent of Kanachur Hospital. Students Sakeena and Irfan successfully compered the program, which concluded with Dr. Roshan, Head of the Department of Anatomy, delivering the vote of thanks.
