Jodhpur violence case: curfew extended till May 6
Jodhpur: May 5 (UNI) The district police commissioner has ordered that the curfew imposed in connection with the violence between two groups in Jodhpur has been extended till May 6.
The curfew imposed in the Jodhpur Commissionerate area on May 3 has been extended to May 6. Raikabag Palace Bus Station and Raikabag Railway Station said curfew has been dropped.
The Internet service has been discontinued and this restriction will continue. The decision to restart mobile internet services will be taken after determining the law and order situation. Jodhpur District Magistrate Himanshu Gupta said at present, mobile internet services have been suspended.
Students and teachers attending the exam are exempt from the curfew. Also, staff, bank, judicial officers and media personnel involved in medical services are exempt. Also included in the order is that newspaper traders will also be allowed to distribute newspapers.
Just hours before Eid, 140 people have been arrested in connection with the violence that broke out in the district. The current situation is peaceful. About 140 people have been arrested and 14 cases so far.
