Indian social forum sent back distressed Mangalore resident from Saudi to India
Dammam (Saudi Arabia): In coordination with the Indian embassy Indian social forum (I.S.F) able to sent back to India a person from Mangaluru district who was critically hurt by a building collapse and ignored by the firm in providing care
Badruddin (47 years), based in Bajal, Mangalore, was working in Safwa, near Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
He was hospitalized in a coma with severe head and brain damage after falling from a height of 10 feet while working 5 months ago. Though he was not fully recovered the company discharged him from the hospital and only paid for roughly 15 days and refused the pay the further expenses of the hospital He became unwell again after returning from the hospital. He needed further treatment and want to return home for further treatment. But the company refused to send it home. The company also not paid him salary for two years.
Knowing about the situation through their colleagues, the Indian Social Forum Dammam Karnataka unit formed a team of its members to gather information. As a result, members Mohammed Ali Muloor and Ibrahim Krishnapura and Yasin Gulbarga’s paid visit to site inquiring about the patient’s condition.
The company which did not sent back him for two months when I.S.F members contacted the the company with help of Indian Embassy the company agreed to sent back him and sent back Badruddin to India on June 5.
