The India U17 men's football team secured a decisive 4-1 victory against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday at the Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah. This conclusive win in their second and final friendly match provides a significant boost as they prepare for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 Qualifiers.

The Blue Colts established an early command, with Kamgouhao Doungel and Md Sahir Ali finding the net to give them a 2-0 lead by half-time. Following the break, India extended their advantage further through goals from Hrishikesh Manavathi and Ristik Maity. The hosts managed only a consolation goal in the second half.

This impressive performance followed an earlier goalless draw against UAE on Sunday. Under Head Coach Mehrajuddin Wadoo, the squad has shown consistent form, including a dominant 4-0 win over Myanmar on October 7 at the StarCity Sports Club in Thanlyin. In that match, Captain Dallalmoun Gangte, an own goal by Kyi Thar, Kamgouhao Doungel, and Hrishikesh Charan Manavathi contributed to the scoreline. That Myanmar victory marked Wadoo's first as India U17 men's head coach, coming after a 1-1 draw in the first match of that tour.

The team is now set to travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers. Drawn in Group E alongside hosts Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore, and Guam, India will commence their campaign against Singapore on November 11. Subsequent matches include Guam on November 14, Palestine on November 17, and a crucial encounter with Malaysia on November 20. The same squad that faced UAE will compete in these qualifiers, aiming for back-to-back Asian Cup qualifications.
