In an unbelievable prank, a Belgian man decided to teach his family and loved ones an unforgettable life lesson after he faked his death, to appear alive at his funeral as he descended from a helicopter instead of being taken off board to be buried.

In the details, the 45-year-old “Tik Toker” David Baerten decided to make a heavy-handed prank for each of his family and friends to test their love for him.

The fake funeral, which took place near the city of Liege at the end of last week, was attended by dozens of friends and family members dressed in black, waiting for the ceremony to start until a helicopter landed in the place.

Suddenly, the “dead man” jumped out of the helicopter while greeting the mourners, saying, “Greetings to all of you, welcome to my funeral,” according to the newspaper, “The Times.”

Some were elated while some broke down in tears because the man did not leave life and went to hug David as soon as he landed, while others remained in the car park in a daze at what was happening.

While a number of funeral goers did not like the prank, forcing TikToker, which has 165,000 followers, to explain, saying that he did it because he did not like the treatment of his family and friends.

He also said, “It often hurts me what I see in my family, I am never invited to anything, no one sees me, we are all separated.”

“I felt so unappreciated, that’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson, to show them that you don’t have to wait for someone to die to meet them,” Burton continued.

He also said that some of his loved ones have reached out to him since the heavy prank, adding, “In a way, I really won.”
