Bangalore, July 16; The Congress party has made an important announcement before the meeting of opposition parties to be held in Bengaluru. The meeting will be held on July 18, before which a dinner party for the opposition leaders has been arranged on July 17.

No decision has yet been announced on the Aam Aadmi Party’s participation in the opposition meeting. In such a case Congress This announcement made by the party is likely to set back the unity of the opposition parties.

Speaking to PTI on Sunday, Congress General Secretary K. C. Venugopal said, “We do not support the Centre’s ordinance regarding regulation of services in Delhi. AAP is likely to participate in tomorrow’s meeting.”

 

AAP, which is ruling in Punjab and Delhi, said the Congress should clarify its stand on the Centre’s ordinance to regulate services in Delhi. So the first meeting of opposition parties in Patna was abandoned.

 

Missing the meeting in Bangalore?; Congress leaders are doing the work of persuading the high level leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. Requested to attend the meeting in Bengaluru on July 18. No leader including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has yet announced the final decision.

AAP had criticized the Congress party in the first meeting of opposition parties held in Patna, Bihar on June 23. Congress had said that if it has to fight against the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it should work properly under the leadership of the opposition party.

Other than the Congress, the opposition parties in the Rajya Sabha have said they will support the AAP on the Centre’s ordinance to regulate services in Delhi. But the AAP walked out of the meeting in Patna demanding that the Congress clarify its stand. It said that it will not attend the meeting again until the Congress takes its stand.

Preparations are underway for a meeting of opposition parties in Bengaluru. A total of 24 opposition parties are expected to attend the meeting. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is also expected to attend. Before this meeting, Sonia Gandhi organized a dinner party for the leaders of the opposition parties on July 17.

West Bengal Chief Minister, TMC leader Mamata Banerjee will also miss the dinner. But the party informed that he will attend the meeting on July 18. Karnataka Congress has prepared to make the meeting a success.

AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are expected to arrive in Bangalore on Monday morning. AAP’s decision after the Congress announcement is a cause for curiosity.
