Udupi: All the demands of the fishermen including  pensions will be fulfilled if Congress get opportunity to serve the people in the state in the 2023 assembly elections. Have full faith in me. “I sincerely do my duty as the voice of i fishermen,” KPCC President DK Sivakumar said.

He spoke at the conference on Tuesday about the problems of coastal fishermen at Malpe fishing harbor and the fishermen’s dialogue program.

Fishermen are already being given a pension after retirement in neighboring Kerala. We also have the opportunity to do this but today’s government suffers from lack of political will.  90 percent of theFisheries problem can be solved. There is no legal impediment to this if the Separate policy is implemented at the national level. The issue of subsidy, pension and other problem of fishermen  should be addressed . The next time if we get a chance  we will fulfill your demand he said

Fishermen’s self-reliant and their fishing career needs to be encouraged. Diesel & Kerosene  should be provided at the rate of 50and 20 Rupees respectively he urged. But this state government has no eyes, ears and heart. What is the difficulty providing subsidies to  fishermen’s diesel?  he questioned the govt.
