Hubballi violence: Karnataka CM denies any innocent was arrested

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai denies allegations that innocent persons were arrested “No innocent person has been arrested in connection with the violence in Hubballi,” he told journalists on April 19.
Speaking to mediapersons at the Sringeri near Chikkamagaluru district, he said, “The police-based evidence on those involved in the crime. The police are investigating the case and verifying the materials available for further action. ”
He said that the Karnataka government has taken all the criminal offenses that have been taken. The police registered an FIR soon after Santosh K. Patil, a civil contractor, was found dead in Udupi. With regard to the Hubballi incident or events in Shivamogga, the police had taken a tough action.
“Even with regard to the alleged irregularities of the PSI recruitment, we have taken action. Similarly, the damages of the case in a fruit shop, we have taken action. We have not been soft on anyone, ”he said.
Mr. Bommai is the CM for Assuming Charge after the First Time for Chikkamagaluru.
He visited the Sringeri and met the seers in Sharada Peeta.
Later, he took part in the Mahakumbhabhisheka at Sri Sharada Lakshminrusimha Peeta in Hariharapura in Koppa taluk. The celebrations had begun on April 10.
Lauding the actions of the mutt, the CM said he did not take part in the event but the Chief Minister, but as a devotee. He said that religious institutions and seers have a major role in ensuring peace in society and spreading the importance of co-existence.
“I am happy to know about the activities of Swayamprakash Sachchidananda Saraswathi. He has been spreading the message of the importance of unity, ”he said.
Defying devotion as the supreme form of love, the chief minister said a true devotee need not pray for his blessings. He would always have the almighty’s blessings. And, he knew the world of welfare was more important than his self-interest.
Mutt seer Swayamprakash Sachchidananda Saraswathi, Political Secretary to CM DN Jeevaraj, MLA TD Raje Gowda, Deputy Commissioner KN Ramesh, Superintendent of Police Akshay M. Hakay and others were present.
