Heavy rain in the coastal Districts: Red alert announced
Karwar: Heavy rains have hit the coastal district and two tourists have drowned in Murudeshwar. Even in Karwar, the tourists were enjoying in the sea in the waves of raging rain. The authorities have issued a red alert in the wake of heavy rains.
However, amidst the dangers of the tidal wave, tens of youths were having fun on the beach at Rabindranath Tagore beach in Karwar. As there is no lockdown, the number of tourists is increasing day by day. People who come to see the waterfalls are also coming to the beach. Youths are descending into the water, regardless of the sound of the waves.
The district has been experiencing heavy rains since Saturday and the waves on the beach. The waves were blowing The district administration warned against swimming. The lack of police or any personnel on the beach has caused tourists to fall into the water.
Warning from locals: The locals took to the turf for the youth who were in the midst of a dangerous wave. Warned them not to go to sea. In the wake of the Weekend, the number of tourists arriving on the beach has been increasing and the sheriffs have urged the sheriff to hire police or land guard personnel at the beach till evening.
