Honorable Harold D’Souza has been recognized with ‘Rashtra Prerna Award 2021’ for his social activist mission. The World Book of Star Records jury members chose Honorable Awardee Harold D’Souza based in the United States of America for his services in India and Worldwide.
D’Souza is the co-founder of Eyes Open International, a non-profit focused on combating human trafficking by developing prevention efforts globally through survivor informed research.
Former U.S. President Barack Obama appointed D’Souza to the United States Advisory Council on Human Trafficking in 2015, and he continued his services under President Donald Trump.
This ordinary man has accomplished extra-ordinary humanitarian deeds worldwide. Harold has proved all long journey’s start with a small step.
Bollywood is working on a blockbuster silver screen ‘Biopic Film’ on Harold D’Souza’s life from India to The White House. The title of the movie is not released. Harold shared; ‘This award is a pure reflection of dedication, love, and compassion from passionate supporters of Eyes Open Trust in India. Hriday Raval is the Regional Director – India for Eyes Open International. Rachna Sabarwal is the Trustee and Hriday Raval is the Managing Trustee of Eyes Open Trust in India. Eyes Open Trust is registered in India and Eyes Open International is registered under 501c3 in America. EOI goal is to open branches in 50 countries.
Indian American human trafficking survivor and activist Harold D’Souza will soon have his story told by way of a film that is being executive produced by Hollywood actor Martin Sheen, according to a press release.
The film which is in development, is titled “To Be Free” and is produced and directed by Benjamin Ryan Nathan. Harold spoke to the press; “Survivors are poor starters but strong finishers. Turn obstacles into opportunities”.
